National Air and Space Center Washington, DC

The National Air and Space Center is part of the Smithsonian's major museums.  It houses important artifacts from Air and Space history including original Wright Brothers stuff to WWII flying Ace stuff, to Apollo and Space Shuttle stuff.  The Center is located at: Independence Ave at 4th Street, SW.  The hours are: 10 AM to 5"30 PM except in Summer when they are open one hour earlier. Summer Hours May 26 - Sept. 4 9:00 am - 5:30 pm and they are open every day except December 25th.  There is a gift shop, food and beverages available, water fountains and restrooms are available. Parking is located along streets and it's advisable to park further away and take the metro or the trolley. Admission was free, but we ordered advanced tickets by internet for the Star Wars Magic of Myth exhibit.  Those were 5.50 and 4.00 (adults; kids). To see my photos from the Star Wars Magic of Myth Exhibit (and a ticket Stub and Pamphlet), please click HEREScroll down the center for the Ticket/Pamphlet and click the photo link to see the costumes and other memorabilia.
