Arthur Sackler Gallery Washington DC

This gallery contains rotating exhibits of art from around the world. We did not go in and did not take photos inside.  There is no food or drink allowed inside though and nothing is available inside.  Parking is unavailable.  Metered parking is available on side streets.  Most garages have monthly rates in that particular area.  You may wish to park far away and trolley to it. The Sackler Gallery is located at 1050 Independence Avenue, SW. The Freer Gallery of Art is located at Jefferson Drive at 12th Street, SW. Hours are from 10 AM to 5:30 PM every day except Dec. 25. Admission is free. The Freer Gallery is on the other side and also houses many different exhibits. The same hours and conditions of this museum is the same (they are also connected underground as well.  I am unsure if there is a gift shop, but my guess would be there is one.

Left to right: The Arthur Sackler Gallery of Art and a Squirrel.  The unique thing about DC is that the pigeons and squirrels will come right up to you and take bread out of your hands.  Be careful though, they could bite and it's recommended you not feed them!
