We went to see the Guess Who August 9th, 2008 at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. We were right up at the stage and couldn't get whole group shots, but some really great looking close-ups (see below). We knew a few of the songs off the top of our head going in, but had no clue how many chart-topping hits they really had. I think almost their whole set list were songs we knew. Great sounding band too. Though only two members are original (Drummer and Bass player), they harmonized perfectly and they sounded good in all senses. Songs you might remember are "No Time", "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature", "Clap for the Wolfman", "American Woman", "She's Come Undone", "Star Rider", "These Eyes" and more. I can't decide which is my favorite as they are all great classics.
This concert is part of Busch Gardens "Summer Nights" weekend. Performers this year were (besides this band), Peter Frampton, Chubby Checker, Rick Springfield, Four Tops, Charlie Daniels Band and Grand Funk Railroad.
After the concert, the band was kind enough to make themselves available to fans and so we managed to get two graphs (two sets); a signed CD slick and a photo. They were fantastic and chatty and must've been tired (and they came out fairly fast ... just enough time to get a couple sips of water and wipe off and change a shirt). Now that's a class act!
