While stationed in North Dakota, we decided to drive through the Black Hills and see Mount Rushmore. There wasn't much there at Mount Rushmore. You can take walking trails up, but you can't CLIMB on the structure. There was a museum showing the progression of how it was built, some Remington Sculptures, and a gift shop that sold souvenirs, Salt Water Taffy and Black Hills Gold. Cost for Mount Rushmore is Free
